Title Tag Length

50-60 characters is the ideal length of the Title Tag. You must make sure your reader and Crawlers should be able to see the title properly to get a better idea of why to click on your link.

There is no such guide that tells you – this is the exact character limit, it varies because of character width (it’s actually based on pixels (600 pixels), so the best rule of thumb is to use the ideal characters suggested above ).

When I make a small tweak with one of my blog title by placing the focus keyword at the start of the title gives me the best result (7% increase the CTR).

Remember search engine like google can easily recognize stuffed keyword. So google does not encourage webmaster to stuff their title with lots of keywords. It creates a bad user experience in front of the reader and search engine.

Also, don’t try to stuff the keyword which are closely related or variations of the same key phrase multiple time in the tag because this will negatively impact your ranking.

So use the keyword in title tag accordingly.

Always pay attention to the user and focus on writing titles that are genuinely helpful for the reader. Avoid repetitive and spammy looking titles. Make it simple.

Avoid just stuffing the keyword and repeat a variation of the same term over and over. If you use too many keywords then the search engine it will definitely rewrite the title for you.

We will never quit rewriting titles. We’ve seen so many sites whose title really suck. A lot of sites have no title; a lot of sites have a title saying “Top Page”. Use can use word like amazing, buy, download, easy, free, learn, find, listen, watch online, cheap, affordable, etc.

Do you need to place your Primary keyword in the title tag to rank well in search engine?

The short answer is “Yes”.

The longer answer is that meta tags may not be an as important part as it once was for search engine results. But it still remains an important on-page SEO signal

Brian Dean research found that having the keyword in the title tag does impact rankings, but it’s a small factor in comparison to other factors.

In my opinions, adding the target keyword in the title tag make sense to me and for me its still working.

This will help you boost rankings (and clicks) above what you’re seeing now.
